Hey guys!!
Today was interesting!
Previously in another lesson we had the opportunity to submit work through Mahara which is the portfolio system. I chose not to do that, along with the rest of the class because it seems extremely confusing. Now after this lesson i feel like this is extremely user friendly and makes a really nice streamlined way of submitting things.
Looking forward to using it.
We also learned about Wikis and it seems like they will be fantastic to use in the classroom and it will really capture the attention of the students.

It was really interesting to hear about the background of the Internet which I had no idea about! I have always grown up with the Internet and computers.
I totally agree that kids have no idea about how to search for things on the Internet and in my last prac I had year 6/7s and they literally copied and pasted information. It was a shock. Its so important that kids are taught how to search and also how to distinguish effective websites.

I had previously downloaded Evernote but deleted it because I didn't understand it, now having been explained a little bit more about what it is, I am excited to use it instead of bookmarking things of my computer all the time.
